The Ultimate Guide to All G-SHOCKs โ€” composed by Experts

Before using this guide, we recommend:

All settings are clearly explained and understandable.

  1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down A for about two seconds until ADJ appears in the right digital dial. When you release A, the city code and city name will scroll across the right digital dial. This is the setting mode.

Whenever you enter a setting mode, the analogue hands will automatically move to positions that allow easier viewing of the digital dials.

  2. Press C to move the flashing in the sequence shown below to select the other settings.

The following steps explain how to configure timekeeping settings only.

  3. When the timekeeping setting you want to change is flashing, use D and/or B to change it as described below.

  4. Press A to exit the setting mode.

The watch automatically adjusts its analogue setting to match the current time displayed in the left digital dial.

I have figured out how ro manually move the watch hands to the correct time but as soon as I exit the “set” mode the hands move to random times. The hands do not automatically move to match the digital time. What can I do to fix this?

I have the same problem on my 5445. I can set the digital time with no problem but the hands are off by about five minutes. Can’t seem to get any help. Sorry I don’t have an answer for your problem.

Have had G Shock satellite time watch for few years. Auto adjusts to a time that is always 5 minutes fast. Found it impossible to manually adjust. Very unhappy with product. Also light only goes on for very brief time making it impractical to read screen. Disappointing paying $500 for watch that is so dysfunctional.
